Imo, a good place to start would be with IBD and their CANSLIM method, Fundamentals are sliced out in short pieces and then work from there. They offer a way to apply these concepts readily to scan for stocks. Then hit the heavy reading.
Forget fundies... become a disciplined chart trader.
Fundamentals and technicals are OFTEN in conflict. Don't bother trying to render their differences to come to the "right conclusion"... can't be done with consistency.
No man/trader can serve two masters... you must choose one and be faithful to it...
