Book recommendations please: time value of money / HP12C / finance

Hello,

I've been out of school for a very long time and would like improve my understanding of financial concepts, even if it means starting from the bottom, which I prefer. I would like to ask people for book recommendations that would be beneficial to me regarding TIME VALUE OF MONEY, PV, FV and using the HP12C.

If you are familiar with excel, Simon Benninga's text is great (no HP though).

seems to have favorable reviews and is geared towards HP12C users.

I have not used an HP calc. in years... seems a bit archaic.

Are you back in school or on the path for self learning?

Spreadsheets is the way to go. I used a12c as a mortgage lender. As a trader, excel is invaluable. Check out the new features of Excel 365. It can actually actually replace a lot of retail trading applications. But, you gotta architect it.

As for math, probability and statistics is better. you will use it for risk mgt, optimal position sizing, algorithms, and options.

You got my attention , though. I miss that 12c. But I don't see a need for it unless your going though a college level fixed income or real estate course ( at least in the 1990s).
