Book recommendations for futures trader

hey ft,

here are the ones I would (& will) take with me:

- Van K Tharp: Trade your way...
- Pirsig: Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (deals a lot with values)
- Dalton,Jones,Dalton: Mind Over Markets (Price Level Profile)
- Pit Bull (this one is really great, read it once, will read it again)

best & have a relaxed time...:)

pitbull really showed me one thing: find your very very very personal edge (& may it be so small) & finetune it till its in your bones...yes, it was great.

I really need that vacation, what are your plans? Also skiing?

best & have a great time...

A legendary S&P local once told to read:

Heart of Darkness,
Story of Job,
The Brothers Karamozov (at least the grand
inquisitor chapter),
Beyond Good and Evil,
100 Years of Solitude,
An Arrow's Flight

I'm gonna be taking off for vacation next week and will be out for 3 weeks. I will have a lot of free time and would like to take some trading books with me. Any recommendations on books that will improve my S&P trading?

Here are the books I'll be taking with me:
Trading In The Zone
The New Market Wizards
Reminiscences of a Stock Operator

Thanks in advance guys!

Fast_Trader,

Why not try something a little different? It is called "Zen and the Art of Poker," written by Larry Phillips. Before you write it off, have a look at the review written by trader75 in Amazon.com. I think he describes the usefulness of this book quite well.

It may not be the best "trading" book by any means, but it is a fresh alternative to all of the obvious choices.

Called B&N and put this one on hold as well. Will be picking it up tonight.

Thanks,

with all those Zen books Fast should skip the vacation and head straight for monastery.
Not a bad idea :D

Well, I picked up the following this evening from B&N:

Zen And The Art of Poker
The Disciplined Trader
Come Into My Trading Room

So, I got 7 books total for my vacation :)
