Short a 2 lot 114 175. Small size due to late in day and due to the fact this could be a "V" day setup. I'll exit quickly and call it a day if no follow through.

Id get pretty short this market. especially if the dollar bid remains all day long.

James,

I caught your two posts. Thank you for your observations.

To all,

BTW, I'm not saying not to go short. I think this day could have another full point down to go. My long term target on the ZB is 109 or so. However, price has been up and down so much over the last few weeks that it is hard to say. I know I've made money on both sides and I know that my hourly and other things have held up very well.

OK. I know you won't believe me but here is the first time for the AM in the ZB:

0641

Yeah, I know, it's OK. I wouldn't believe me either if I were you.

So, let's continue on. Here are the remaining times for today:

0917
1149

I won't be trading after that.

I'll have some levels in a few minutes.

Post action report for Wed 06 Aug 2008

The chart speaks for itself. I've done this two days in a row now, not to mention all of the other times I've done this, i.e. posting times in advance.

My results were better because I took additional trades, BUT, on a 1 lot, just taking the trades that came up knowing about the times, the following is possible on a 1 lot:

10 ticks shorting the first time line.
4 ticks and 4 ticks shorting the second time line, i.e. short going into it and a quick scalp long leaving it.
8 ticks and 8 ticks for the third time line following the same idea as the second time line.

That is 34 ticks net on a 1 lot for the day. I know the above is possible for those specific trades because I did it exactly that, i.e. the entries and exits. My size was a lot larger but that doesn't matter.

FYI, above posted times are CST and chart is EST.

Just in case you weren't aware, there is a 30 yr auction today. Results are usually released around 1202.

Thanks! I hadn't checked my Barron's yet. Normally I only care about the 0730's, the 0900's and the 1000's as I'm usually sound asleep by 1200 CST, but since I listed a time close to the auction, I should have checked.

Funny how a time that I calculate which has no connection to the US Treasury's schedule, coincides with their schedule.

0610 CST

I'm just making a best guess now, but my take on price action now is that we see a high between 0630 and my first posted number. We should then travel down into 0825 and the second posted number.

Just an intuitive hunch.
