Bollinger Bands on Spreads

you can do it in first alert and qcharts. If you are really resourceful, it can probably be done in excel too. I've made some cool sread charts in excel, including standard deviations, but I haven't put actual bands into the charts.

You can do all this and more in eSignal 7.0. (www.esignal.com)

You can define a spread on any symbol type (equities, futures, options). With a spread (or any other symbol) you can apply one of our many builtin studies (Bollinger Bands, Moving Average, Stochastic, MACD, ....)

You can also view a 3 line break of a spread (or any other symbol).

To make it even more fun, you could do a spread, make it a 3 line break chart, then do a bollinger on the 3 line break! :D

Well, I've had eSignal as my feed all along and didn't realize that they improved their software so much. A few months ago, I thought it was junk, and now I'm impressed. So now I'm using eSignal 7.0 with out having to pay any extra charge.

Matt, I didn't realize I could put a pb on a spread, I'm going to have to look into that. Thanks again. :) :) :) :)
 
There are many new improvements to eSignal. Besides the advanced charts, there are drawing tools and a new eSignal Formula Script (EFS). To find more information, check out these pages on the new version:

You will find examples of each here. With the EFS (Javascript) users can write their own studies. Over 75 samples are included with the new program.
