I don't want to sound like Professor EggHead here, but if you're going to cook 6 or more eggs at the same time, they're probably going to bunch together in the pot, thus changing the convective properties of the water flow around the eggs from Laminar to Turbulent. We're talking Heat Transfer here. This could very well change the optimum cooking time from 12 min. to something higher.
