So Boehner's resignation is good news. I commend the sacrifice he's made.
It is . . . considering the amounts of tears he shed ,
it's almost like he died for their sins.

I wonder what is driving his resignation. I can understand giving up his leadership position, but giving up his seat before the election is very odd. Is he suffering from a medical issue or is something else going on?

A September 2010 New York Times story said Boehner was "Tightly Bound to Lobbyists" and "He maintains especially tight ties with a circle of lobbyists and former aides representing some of the nation’s biggest businesses, including Goldman Sachs, Google, Citigroup, R.J. Reynolds, MillerCoors and UPS.".[47]

I feel better now, that should straighten everything out. Any chance we get a window into what distributions happen off the floor? He's on his way to K street or Wall street, all future distributions will take place in local watering holes.

I just think there is something fundamentally lacking in what's called the human spirit, which needs requires or demands a religious reason to do good.
To have to be commanded or threatened by something in order to act virtuously seems to me contrary to what can be expected from the best of conscience and sense of morality. Especially when that something is a kind of psychosis that demands a consent to things like deities and holy ghosts before it supposedly knows what to do.
