Is there any real evidence that Mike is anti-semetic? It's a nasty charge to make unless, of course, you can back it up. I really don't think there is any room for loose talk of this nature about Mike or anyone else. Unless you put up you really should do the right thing and shut up.

Please do enlighten us as to how you can really back this up save for a confession from Big Mike. He may be a closet bigot. But the issue of bigotry and lack of tolerance to a diversity of opinions on the BMT forum has been brought up a few times on the Trading Loonies blog and these guys seem to know how to do their homework.

Incidentally, you don't seem to be troubled by the fact that Big Mike makes accusations whenever it suits him as mentioned in the same article. Has he ever backed them up? Hardly.

Sounds like an example of double standards, which the OP mentioned here as well. Bigotry is also an example of that.

You may not be able to prove that he is a bigot, but judging by <b>the patterns</b> that is not unlikely at all, and that exactly is David's point as I understand it. He is not making a charge, he is simply speculating. "Could" is not the same as "is" and that is something you should know if you are a native English speaker, which I believe is the case. You are reading more into it than what he said.

You are so eager to demand evidence, but how many times have you challenged Big Mike to prove what he says? Why don't you challenge him to prove that he is a profitable trader which he claims to be? Be careful, though, because it's easy to get banned for that as you can learn from another article on Trading Loonies, which shows how Big Mike handles uncomfortable opinions. Not a bit of tolerance for those.

If <b>these patterns</b> continue to accumulate (and they seem to so far), that will be your evidence, but then again, you will probably ignore it because people often believe what they want to believe.

I am not Jewish, BTW, I just don't like bigots.

Yes, he cannot be trusted and his business must be questioned just as any vendor business should be. That's my default position and I apply it to all vendors.

As I said before, it's double standards and lack of transparency that make his business questionable.

He has one set of standards for himself and his vendors and another for other vendors, outside of his favorites.

Examples of double standards abound, let me just mention how Harald Steinhaus (Fat Tails) was allowed to operate there. He was hiding that he was a vendor for some two years and denigrating his competitors as it pleased him. It's interesting that he has yet to be banned (for blatant lies) while many others have been banned for much lesser offenses and that includes some vendors who were banned on accusations they were not allowed to defend against.

That's also an example of lack of transparency. Withholding information about the indicators he peddles in the elite section is another example of that and I suspect that this has to do with the fact that some of these indicators have not been obtained in a totally kosher way (Harald Steinhaus, again, is known to peddle knock-offs there and he is not alone in this business there).

The problem with Big Mike is that he lives in an echo chamber, refusing to hear the dissenting voices, surrounded by people convinced that he cannot do anything wrong. Sorry, but this guy is simply not willing to face reality and neither do his followers.

WTF ... what homework? He could be a bigot? Of course he could be. He could be a child molester, part of a plot to torture and kill the Mayor of NY because he likes a big gulp with his burger or even a member of the infamous Illuminati. I agree that one or even all of these things are possible but no one has put forth any evidence that the man is a bigot.

I'm not suggesting proving it beyond a reasonable doubt; this is a conversation not a court of law yet I am suggesting that before people start to speculate on such serious matters some evidence would (or should I say could or maybe) be nice. While you say "these guys know how to do their homework" ... I say what illustrates that? When you say "he may be a closet bigot" I say why couldn't he be a closet serial killer as well, or a rapist or part of any far right wing or far left wing plot to undermine our system of governance?

I'm not suggesting that I know if Mike is a bigot/anti-semite or not (I do not know) but I am suggesting some actual evidence of it would be in order. The may be closeted stuff is two steps beyond absurd. BTW ... I once met a Jewish guy I didn't like (I live in NYC) and two black guys and a Greek guy I absoloutely despised. I'm hoping I'm not a bigot but I could be one and in denial ... lol.
