Yes, but you were supposed to win. Historically whoever has the presidency loses in the midterms. Your party did pretty horrible considering this. Add to the fact that supposedly Trump has only a 40% approval rating and how do dems mess that up? I mean, look at the landslide ass kicking republicans gave you guys in 2010. We picked up 63 seats vs your 28 this year. We picked up 6 senate seats vs you losing 2 seats this year. And this was under Obama...the guy you thought of as the messiah.

Don't forget the fact that 45 House Republicans resigned including The Speaker and still this is all Dems could do.

By popular vote Dems did better this year than repubs did in 2010.The seat difference is due to the gerrymandering republicans did after 2010.

They did not mess this up.Dems won all the blue senate seats,6 of the 7 swing state senate seats,The House,red state West Virginia and Montana and came within 3 points of republican strong holds Texas and Arizona.Dems got around 10 million more votes than republicans.

Democrats had an inflated number of seats in 2010 due to Bush anger of 06 and 08.Dems won a lot of red and moderate seats after anger over the war and the economic crash that they were never going to keep.The congressional district map was also much different in 2010 than it is now.

Well, It helps the dems quite nicely to get that popular vote when you have 2 democrat senators running and no republicans to vote for in the most populous state in the country. That's thanks to a law in California that lets democrats lock out republicans from getting on the ticket so don't give me your bullshit "popular" vote, when the most populous state in the nation has it rigged.
