Blue states paid trillions in welfare to red states, get lectured by moochers

dollar.JPG

Data compiled by the Pew Charitable Trust found that 10 states that receive less than a dollar back for every dollar they send to Washington: Delaware, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, Connecticut, Illinois, Ohio, Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island. And here are the states that get more than $2 back for every $1 in taxes paid: Mississippi, New Mexico, West Virginia, Hawaii, South Carolina, Alabama, Maine, Montana, Alaska, Virginia, Arizona, Idaho, Kentucky and Vermont. You don’t have to be a political scientist to see the blue state/red state pattern here. Red state voters may talk a good game about small government and low taxes, but in reality they are socialist moochers.

Actually the assertions in this article are absurd. Let's eliminate military base spending, farm subsidies, and other non-welfare federal spending from the accounting. Let's focus on federal welfare spending--defined here as childhood nutrition programs, food stamp programs, WIC benefits TANF benefits, and other similar benefits.

In this case blue states top the list and red states made up most of the bottom 10.
As outlined many times previously.

The red states do not really want the military bases that were forced on them. These bases take up large tracts of land that are useful for other economic purposes and require local money spent on policing & other services because they tend to be high crime / low income areas. Let's put a large military base in NYC or Boston - and bulldoze all the existing homes. The displaced residents can survive on the 80%+ of large farm subsidies that are sent to the owners of corporate farms who reside in blue states (but is seen as red state money for some reason).

Go to my previous post and get educated.

1. You keep saying this but you NEVER do this, you assume that's the reason when the actual reason is that red states tax base is poor

Absolute nonsense, where is your citation that red states have more military bases, you have NONE.

Go to my previous post and get educated.

I already debunked that excuse of yours, it's certainly a good way to educate others on how to destroy strawman arguments

Your assertions above regarding military bases in red states (an obvious one by the way), and other nonsense has all been widely discussed previously on ET and debunked. It is not worth further discussion. Go back to previous threads to read the facts.

Why to you simply re-cycle this BS over and over again in posts - when it has widely been demonstrated to be incorrect.

It has been widely SPECULATED, nobody has posted ANY EVIDENCE for these made up claims to deflect away from the fact that red states are moochers paradise

First, you never addressed my points previously

Second, there are no posts that back up your claims

Third, the post that you linked to had nothing to do with my claims, NY paying out more benefits doesn't negate the fact that New York still contributes more to the feds.

Fourth, you started a thread about LA counties paying 'illegals', that's the lecture I referred to, if red states could stop mooching, maybe they had a leg to stand on when it comes to talking about financial discipline

States don't mean anything. It's the democrats in the red states that are collecting all the welfare. Look at any large city in a red state. It's where the vast majority of the welfare goes. And they're all democrats.

And pulling some all republican county from Kentucky out doesn't mean squat either. Turns out the left is counting social security as gov't assistance. Social security is not gov't assistance. They're getting their own money back. It's not redistribution like welfare is.

Must be interesting living in your bubble. I will simply post links to previous posts for any further discussion on this topic. You can read them and be educated.

Do explain how New York paying more in benefits to it's citizens while not asking the federal government to subsidize them - in fact paying more than they receive constitutes 'mooching'.

I read your links, they have got NOTHING to do with my point, you also make claims about military bases that you cannot back up, so what exactly is there to be educated about? You don't even address my points and don't back up your claims.
