Bloomberg support-- good? bad?

An acquaintance is considering using BB, but has heard a couple of conflicting opinions regarding their support. Said I'd ask for him on ET. Your opinion would be appreciated.

Bloomberg is very difficult to use. They offer free classes and the support team will work with you on the phone. For $2K/month, you better get great support. Make sure you read the contract. After our 1st year, it auto-renews for 2 years.

Support is fantastic. I can't describe how good it is. I asked for some earnings data and the guy built the whole spreadsheet for me. I casually asked for historic vol data when the rep made his annual visit to me. I got three phone calls from their market data team asking for specifics.
Early termination is 50percent of your remaining two year contract.
 
Re support, of course it is first class, given its price. But then Reuters charges just a little less and their support for Eikon sucks big time. BBG does stand out of the pack in terms of support. But I still prefer Reuters for trading. Better news coverage, much better news engine, way better data visualizations, way better analytics. Where Bloomberg shines imho is support and ease of use. Most screens are self explanatory and if you need help its 2 key strokes away. That is where Reuters is lacking big time.

thats because any dummy gal who could not make it into ibanking but still wants her future hubby to have a prestigious job in the financial industry tries to get into BBG and "work" her way up to her clients dickheart. Of course exaggerated but there is a lot of truth to it: BBG has a very comfy, cozy work culture, sweet pantry, lots of travel perks (where in 2015 do ibank VPs, for example, get to fly business class even for short hauls and get to stay at top 5 star hotels), plus you have endless opportunities to schmooze with and date guys in the financial sector.
