Bloomberg question

Hi guys, I modestly admit I'm not very proficient with bloomberg and this is probably a no-brainer question for some of you..
Can I get returns out of Bloomberg on an index that tracks the
aggregated returns of the US REITs for the period from 1986 to 2000? (or from some other souce, preferrably not very expensive)
Daily would be best, but any periodicity up to monthly will do.
Thanks a bunch in advance.
PS The thread probably belongs not in trading but somewhere else but I wasn't sure where to put it.

I think that you can. Unfortuneately, I do not know how to do it. However, if you are near a bloomberg, just hi the help key twice ( I think that it is the f2 key) and that will bring you to their email technical help system. Type a message outlining your question, and they usually respond within a few minutes. They have always been quite helpful answering any questions that I had. HTH

Thanks Gordo, yeah, I've emailed them before and it never took them more than 5 or 10 minutes to get back to me. I just wasn't near a bb terminal this time and thought I'd get some guidance before I get there. Thanks.
