Bloomberg or CNBC

Not trying to be cute but I have to wonder why any trader would be interested in mainstream news? Lags the market significantly. Of course there are some nice looking women.

I know... I know. I watch it around 8am to see upgrades/downgrades and to see any big news on the scrolling news ticker pre markets, and to see how Asian markets closed. Watch it for maybe 10 minutes.

And when a Fed desision is imminent  Although the futures action is really what matters. In short CNBC can be used as a distraction or when taking a break during trading!

What doesn't CNBC provide a live audio or video stream online?

they provide it for a fee.

i too think they're useless. bunch of morons, especially the US team.

Yes, but every so often, they break a story that really moves the markets. On Thursday, Mike Huckman broke the HIV testing story and OSUR moved up 40% in 10 minutes....that trade made my week.

I can live with the inane blathering and the brain-dead but beautiful Erin Burnett as long as they provide us these killer moves now and again.
