Bloomberg Corrects FAKE NEWS Bombshell Trump Bank Records

The question should be asked, why does the MSM rush to release inaccurate reporting in a light that's most damaging to the President. There was a time when the editorial process halted these types of releases until the facts were established. Now it's a race to get the assumed story out before the competition regardless of its accuracy or veracity.

The funny thing is that the editorial process seems to have gone right out the window, can anyone name even a single story where the mainstream media screwed it up and it was negative towards obama? Supposedly the unbiased clowns in the MSM couldnt find a single negative story on Obama, but they have gotten it wrong repeatedly under Trump.... if there is anyone who still thought that these so calles news organisations were any better than opinion based tabloid garbage, all i would ask is "When was the last time one of these supposed news orgs got it wrong in a PRO Trump article? It has never happened, we havent seen a single Pro Trump article get retracted, while we have seen dozens of anti Trump articles get retracted...... but yeah supposedly these asshats are just calling balls and strikes...... unbiased arbiters of truth, LOL.

The term was coined for a specific phenomenon as you well know.

"Fake news is a type of yellow journalism or propaganda that consists of deliberate misinformation or hoaxes spread via traditional print and broadcast news media or online social media."

Something can be incorrect without intent to be.

I consider all news untrue to be fake. If there is a separate meaning you have for it, ok. These nuances you speak of are part of the problems that allow bullshit to take place in politics. If people considered all untrue news as fake, maybe they wouldn't publish it in the first place.

The nuances are foundational to advanced civilisation. In ways they are truly beautiful, the little rituals the motivational and collective delusions of order and hierarchy that keeps it all running. Only people who have never suffered would be naive enough to piss it away.

And...you lost me again.

The old line media outlets had always been able to decide for themselves what was news and what wasn't. The NYT and WashPost set the agenda and the TV networks and cable followed their lead. That lead was always extremely left of center, perhaps reaching its apex during the Clinton administration, when numerous serious scandals were essentially ignored. After all, Clinton supported abortion.

The rise of the new media, eg internet news, Fox, etc, complicated matters. The NYT no longer exclusively set the agenda. Matt Drudge did. The Lewinsky scandal was the tipping point. The mainstream media were determined to spike the story of Bill Clinton having sex romps in the Oval Office with a young intern. Drudge made that impossible.

As bad as life had become for the media, it was about to get a whole lot worse. Trump arrived as a candidate. He seemed perfect for the media, a legitimate celebrity who went out of his way to create wild controversy. The media couldn't get enough of him and if it hurt the other, more conventional republican candidates and resulted in the party nominating an idiot who would lead them to an historic defeat, well that was even better.

Only Trump wasn't an idiot. He was a genius at creating a personal brand who looked at winning a presidential election as a first time candidate as merely a marketing exercise. Plus, he had a secret weapon, twitter. Using twitter allowed him to totally go over the heads of the media and directly to his supporters. Even the mighty Reagan lacked that kind of power.

Suddenly the tables had turned on big media. They had snickered when Trump casually dismissed his rivals with playground insults, eg "Low Energy Jeb", "Lyin' Ted" , even "Crooked Hillary." There was enough truth in the insults to make them hurt. They weren't snickering when Trump called CNN fake news and disparaged the NYT as the failing NYT that lied about him. They were already all in on trying to remove Trump by fair means or foul. Journalism had morphed from pretending to be unbiased and holding power accountable to being full players on one team. The Podesta emails made it impossible to deny that fact. Media now is an exercise in tribal combat, fulfilling the role once held by the NFL before its demise into irrelevancy.

The news isn’t pro or anti, it’s the news. Trump is at a 37% approval rating because he conducts himself in a manner that corrupt and crude.

How should the news report Trump’s hair brained, childish tweets? What should the headline read? ‘Genius president retweets racist British fringe group and insults the leader of our most important ally but who cares?”

“How about dear leader has not passed any economic legislation but let’s give him credit for the strong economy he inherited”

Give me a break. The vast majority of Americans aren’t stupid, Trump is a train wreck.

UsualName,

I'll give you $100 for every article in the NYT and WaPo that praises/has positive view of Trump.
You give me $100 for every positive article about Obama during his terms in same papers.

The news isn't pro or anti, right?

And...you lost me again.

That is not a surprise.

Well...
  • I'll give you $100 for every article in the NYT and WaPo that praises/has positive view of Romney during the 2012 campaign.
  • You give me $100 for every positive article about Obama during the 2012 campaign in same papers.
Similarly,
  • I'll give you $100 for every article in the NYT and WaPo that praises/has positive view of McCain during the 2008 campaign.
  • You give me $100 for every positive article about Obama during the 2008 campaign in same papers.

I'm gonna be rich!!!

It's not only Trump -- it is the complete left-leaning bias of these media outlets.

Why does this make sense to you? Trump is a terrible president there are very few positive things he has done for this country. Look at the things Trump has done, everyday it’s a new low.

You are expecting the media to misrepresent the truth because of your political views. Think about that. It’s not the news, it’s you.

You don’t like the reporting but the reporting is accurate. Maybe you find divisive and insulting, do nothing politics positive but the majority of Americans do not.
