Blacks are nothing more than monkeys - so say Al Sharpton

Quote from nutmeg:

It is the white media that sticks the microphone in Shaprton's face and asks for his opinion. Why do you suppose that is?

Replace white with liberal and you have your answer.

Quote from CaptainObvious:

It was not fine to compare President Bush to a chimp, but that was in reference to his intellect, not his race. This cartoon is an obvious racist slur at President Obama.
I agree that there's an obvious double standard at play. Leftists do seem to be quite OK with personal attacks when it suits them. That does not change the fact that this cartoon has racial implications. It is what it is, is all I'm saying.

Rupert Murdoch Apologizes For Cartoon: "The Buck Stops With Me"

Katherine Thomson | February 24, 2009 08:01 AM

Rupert Murdoch released a statement in the pages of the NY Post on Tuesday, saying in part, "I am ultimately responsible."

Murdoch was responding to the uproar after last week's controversial stimulus cartoon, for which the paper had already semi-apologized.

The statement in full:

As the Chairman of the New York Post, I am ultimately responsible for what is printed in its pages. The buck stops with me.

Last week, we made a mistake. We ran a cartoon that offended many people. Today I want to personally apologize to any reader who felt offended, and even insulted.

Over the past couple of days, I have spoken to a number of people and I now better understand the hurt this cartoon has caused. At the same time, I have had conversations with Post editors about the situation and I can assure you - without a doubt - that the only intent of that cartoon was to mock a badly written piece of legislation. It was not meant to be racist, but unfortunately, it was interpreted by many as such.

We all hold the readers of the New York Post in high regard and I promise you that we will seek to be more attuned to the sensitivities of our community.

Quote from TGregg:

Why? Did you think he wrote the stimulus bill? Do you think that presidents author bills for congress to contemplate, much as a CEO of a company might offer plans to the board? That whole three branches of government is pretty hard to understand, huh?
How very literal of you, and a truly sporting try. However, "plausible" deniability aside, it doesn't quite wash:

We all know what's what here, so condescension won't work. But you did your best, and that's what's important. You're a winner just for trying.

The lens with which you view the world will pretty much give you the view of the world you want/seek. The trick is to try and have as clear and unfiltered a lens as possible.

Sounds like a job for...Rupert Murdoch! Where is that "fair and balanced" masked man?

No answer from the libtards to this post?

Here's a point that was caught by a few, but missed by most (and 100% of the libtards):

Demonstrators led by civil rights activist Al Sharpton chanted "End racism now!" outside the parent company's skyscraper in midtown Manhattan and called for the jailing of Rupert Murdoch, whose international media conglomerate News Corp owns the Post.

If Murdoch needs to go to jail because his paper ran a cartoon, WTF should happen to Rev. Wright who espouses racist remarks as much in excess of this cartoon as an atomic bomb is when compared to a fart? Where were all these "race conscious" protesters during the election?

Some black waste of humanity in Durham tried to falsely blame a bunch of white kids "of privilege" for rape. Al Sharpton was there again, saying he'd pay for her college education even if she were wrong.

She is a liar. Further, she has single handedly worsened the plight of any other poor black girl who is actually raped by some rich white kids. Any new case of that nature will immediately conjure up ghosts from this nasty bit of garbage. This loser from Durham has worsened the plight of black women in America - but Uncle Al is right there to help her out.

This doesn't make sense if one thinks Al Sharpton and the rest of his ilk are trying to move us to a color blind society. Many things do not make sense if you presume that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are noble people. Things make a lot more sense when you realize that Sharpton and Jackson care far more about money and power than any sort of egalitarian society.

Sharpton and Jackson make money and gain power by exploiting any situation that they can present at racist. Facts do not matter. And that is demonstrated time and time again. But their supporters never waver, so one must assume their supporters also feel the same way - it's all about power and not about fairness.

If it were otherwise, would a president-elect have a preacher like Rev. Wright? Could you imagine what would have happened if it were a white candidate attending a church that preached such a hatred of blacks?

The answers are obvious.
