One of the issues I have with these threads about race is generalizations.

I work in a very diverse corporate environment. The blacks I work with are bright and hard-working.

Similarly two of the three black families that live nearby have a PhD as the head of the household. One is a medical doctor and the other is a well-known pharma researcher.

A combination of poor culture, lack of personal responsibility, broken families, and poverty appears to drive the behavior of some "urban" blacks.

The only thing I can state conclusively is that the educated blacks I described above disdain the thugs even more than I do.

Working for a living puts everything in proper perspective.

Race aside. They can start booting people off welfare and arresting looters any day now. The bottom rung of Americans need a major kick in the ass.

Meanwhile in St. Paul, Minnesota, Black Lives Matter protestors where heard chanting this weekend “Pigs in a blanket. Fry’em like bacon.”

Obama has set back race relations in this country by 40 years. He has created an environment where police officers are a target.

Of course, this will only lead to more aggressive policing. When every police officer is a target then all officers will take measure to be extra aware and aggressive in all situations to protect their own lives. Situations that formerly would have resulted in initial approaches not involving deadly force will now escalate immediately into deadly-force encounters as officers seek not to be the next victim.

Some aspects of his upbringing were far different than that of the average thug, regardless of color, though the lack of having a father would have been a similar aspect. He is ideologically driven, unlike most average thugs.

The traits you describe could be said of some community organizers, primarily the divisiveness, which is certainly on the increase in this country.

As for gun sales, I figured this would be another case of "higher than ever before!!!" because the trend is upwards anyway.
