Just curious. Are those longer-term, fighting shorts that will be held in the face of an uptrend ("boxers"), or are they short-term shorts with tight stops ("briefs")?
we have our own sentiment indicator on et. when you see 3 threads like this at once you know it must be late to short.

The trend is your friend, sometimes the herd is where is money is at, sometimes the contrarian view is where the money is at. Have to be flexible.
If this is true about the DIA and oil shorts, then my apologies. I did not know of these calls.
Making predictions although a bit of harmless fun is a fool's game. If you make enough calls sooner or later you might get one right. But one call in isolation from one's trackrecord is meaningless.
Just trade the action. Forget about predicting where the market will go.
