ok, the stop level @ 10179 was hit but not broken by system parameters--i am still holding short at this time and expecting a down close on the day.

Volatility is a little too much for me, so going to b/e stop on the additional short - holding core position short still.

Thanks for the vote of confidence but it's not going to happen today I don't think!


Not enough speculators long yet and we really haven't retraced to signifigant enough levels yet.


I will add to this core short again but not yet, I thought that it might be a little too early but it was worth a try as it was relatively risk free and even initially the stop was tight enough to not hurt at all.

I do not "NEED" anyone with me it was a figure of speech.

Interesting. Your first post captioned above was posted on Monday, April 19, 2005 at 9:32 AM EST, when the market was at around 10120. At that time, you set your protective stop 59 points away at 10179. Although somewhat distant, you did not choose a round number such as 10200, or even 10180. No, it was very specifically 10179. You were then kind enough to repeat this very specific number 2 more times in subsequent posts before the market actually exceeded this very specific number by a couple of points. Imagine my relief when you advised that you did not exit the position when the very specific 10179 was taken out due to the previously unmentioned "system parameters" which kicked in just in time to save the day. Did you at least advise your many attentive followers that there were system parameters as well as very specific exit points, or did they foolishly exit at the very specific 10179?

just joking around to pass the time... nothing personal..... however it was a funny comment/question; asking some other trader whether he is supporting your (losing?) position.

I'll make a "call" since its the 'IN' thing to do..... I say DOW will "test" the 10200 level today!
