This is part of what you wrote. "This was essentially a workplace shooting for all intents and purposes, perpetrated by a disgruntled and crazy man." That's the only part that is relevant to the killing and that's all which is relevant to me. The rest is simply a distraction from what we need to be discussing on the issue of racially motivated killings.
Muslim terrorist guns down military people on Army base, it's workplace violence. Racist black guy kills two innocent people. That's workplace violence too. White guy kills innocent black people ...OMFG, we're a nation of racists, all of whom are white.
The guy left all kinds of writings and a video saying he wanted to start a race war. How does that have anything to do with a workplace killing by a disgruntled former employee? The killer was the one who made it racial.
The thing people are pointing out here is that this was clearly a racial hate crime, yet the only response from liberals or the racial grievance industry has been their all purpose demand for more gun control.
If it's legitimate to blame the Confederate flag for the Roof shootings and demand its abolishment, then we can say that affirmative action is to blame for these killings and demand its termination. It's just so dangerous to put unqualified blacks into an environment where they can't hack it. Inevitably, some of them will snap. If we could save just one innocent life, wouldn't ending affirmative action be worth it? Are you willing to tell the parents of a dead child that their child had to die to preserve affirmative action?
