I am the only person I know without a flat screen TV.

But largely the main reason why i don't buy a lot electronic gadgets is cause I know myself and get tired of it after 2 weeks.

But I guess mostly I am just a cheap bastard...
 
As more and more of these consumers stop paying mortgage, they are freeing up more money for the trips to the mall and buying the Chinese made junk. Anything you buy on Black Friday costs less after Christmas.

Thats one of the main reasons, think about it, in a few years they will be opening up department stores on morning of Thanksgiving day.....

These corporations will do anything possible to make their bottom line!

What a fucking pathetic society this is, corporate greed is what christmas is all about and nothing more.

I was thinking the same thing, how many TVs do these people need. I guess they buy it just to have it. I guess they had the old 42" TV that wasnt an inch and half thick, but the one that was 3" deep.

and these CRT tv's are working just fine(i'm still using vcr+tv combo that i bought in 1994 :) AND they consume way LESS electricity than current plasmas for example. i use to have 36" CTR sony TV-eat about 60-65w. died- i bought 42" plasma(dunno..like 5-8 years ago)-it's work fine, picture was great and all,but it's consume 250-400watts! and you can use it as a fireplace during the winter, cause it's generated ridiculous amount of heat.

same for cable box-the old one it doesn't consume any electricity when off. current digital motorola-it's doing something all day long and even when it's off-it's still consume 60-70 w 24 hours a day and also hot as s**t.
