US dollar is used 95% for good activities and probably 5% for bad.
Currently bitcoins only or mostly used for bad.
Hence will be in business when the situation changes. Until then will stay away from the 'modes of crime' currency.
Infact the real Bitcoin is our digital currency that we see in bank accounts and make payments for various things via internet banking and point of sale apparatus.
What this what so called Bitcoin should be given the name Evilcoin or Vicecoin and that will ONLY start to do the justice to its wrong use.
1) It's impossible for any government to "destroy" Bitcoin. The best they can hope for is to ban the exchanges with fiat currencies.
2) As I've pointed out before, the good ole US Dollar is the premier currency for every criminal activity you can imagine. Far larger and more anonymous than BTC.
3) All the porn you mentioned? You can get every possible nasty thing you desire on the internet right now for free.

In all honesty I think that Bitcoin is used mostly for speculation at this point. I doubt you consider speculation bad.
Don't listen to the FUD published by the government and their sock puppets, the mainstream media.
Nothing is perfect out there...........while US has many and majority of good points but in certain areas there is too much freedom. Flipping the scenario, I like certain points of Saudi Arabian laws where 'eye for an eye' punishment is carried out.
Remember that guy Castro who imprisoned 3 women for 10 years. How about his kids taken to jail and done things to them that he did to those women and make Castro and similar criminals watch it all?
Wonder why there were and are nearly nil drug dealers in Communist nations and places like Saudi Arabia?
