The Tether&Bitfinex fraud keep propping up the market until people change their mind and buy into the fraud. That's why i say it's hard to short, when they can simply prop the price up. Which is what they continue to do.
It will far apart only once Tether/Bitfinex get nipped in the butt. We know that the government agencies are already going after them, but i have no idea whether are we weeks, months or years away from enforcement. It's already beyond mind-blowing how they can run a $100Billion fraud out in the open.
