Bitcoin Price Thread

Why do you ridicule @johnarb for being a "hodler and taking the long term view"? Nothing wrong with that approach especially since he was an early adopter and has a very low average cost.

Thank you my friend :) I wish the best for you.

My crypto investment cost is negative now, so I can hold even if bitcoin goes to zero. I don't post much on the thread anymore as hardly anyone here on ET is interested in trading or investing in cryptocurrencies.

I held through the 2014-2016 bear market in cryptos so this could turn out to be just as long or longer.

Because he and you were holders at 19k. How ever you guys want to spin it you've been wrong not only in the short term but the intermediate as well.

The bs of I'm long term is just that...one of the most basic rules of in vesting in ANYTHING is opportunity cost. Which you have missed badly, and the vehicle does not mater.

This is why most retail investors fail. Your original CB meaningless from a portfolio view, it is what you do with the net value of the current asset that matters.

And frankly, I wouldn't really care but for the tone you guys had that everyone was an idiot if they were not on the BTC band wagon.

BTC may come back, if so I'll buy on the way up. Not hold on the way down. Again, what most individual investors fail to do.

I don't totally disagree with you as we probably did get a bit cocky with a 2,000% gain in about a year but (in my case anyway) I did not know when to sell. Sooo, I held and will continue to do so. I continue to believe that BTC will be over 100K within four years so that is my path.

Yes, you can hold to zero and loose more of your net.
Here is an analogy for you. ....

You know you are going to get hit by a car, but instead of getting out of the way ,you figure you won't be killed, just spend a few months in the hospital ...so you don't move and end up in the hospital.

Unfortunately, that is human nature when it comes to the individual investor.

And just think if you locked in a portion of your "2000% gain" (which is now gone and meaningless) and reloaded at these or lower levels ......again...opportunity cost.

Except you are saying this with 20/20 hindsight.

As for your analogy it's idiotic.

Of course it is hindsight, but go back and read some of the arrogance when it was at 19k.

As for the analogy, why don't you put more effort into your mostly 1 line responses. Maybe enlighten the forum to your gifts and insights ? Tool.

For every 1 post touting BTC there were probably at least 3 bashing it.

As for the length of my responses they fit the crap that clowns like you post.

Gee if a car was coming at me ..........
:finger:

Is that not in line with the evolution of the bitcoin price since beginning of this year?

The cannon flesh that was needed for the run to 19K last year, has been hurt very hard with big losses. Don't think they will participate the next euphoria wave up. So who will push the price up?

My 19k comment was directed at Johnarb and ill trader who had total disdain for those who didn't agree with their bull stance at that high. If you are going to comment (however useless as they are) do try and keep up.
