Yes, but they are easily charged-back if customer claims it back (with or without cause, or simply fraud). Only after 3 months the merchant can be sure it is Settled.
This is why merchants like Overstock.com really like Bitcoin so much: they have reduced their fraud department substantial (read somewhere by 60%).
