Bitcoin Price Thread

what is the best way to go about shorting BTC in IBKR? GBTC? Wish they had options so I could just buy puts instead...suck bad if it gapped up to $100k overnight and sent me straight into a heroin addiction.

Pekelo, to answer your question on the other closed thread and related to this cashing out, you don't think I would just dump $150K worth of bitcoins on Coinbase in 1 shot, do you?

The plan was to sell this week, I've prepared the 3 bitcoins so far, but as a cautious cryptos person, I can only trust an exchange with an amount I'm willing to lose.

I was going to send $25K, sell it for $ and transfer ACH to bank, if everything ok (1-2 business days), I can transfer $50K on the next one, and $50K and $25K

This is my way. If any issues at any one time, I'm only out that amount, not $150K. I don't listen to reddit and forgive me, but I cannot listen to your advice.

Now bitcoin is down to $31.5K, I could still sell the first batch at this price or I can choose to wait until this market turmoil is over. Just so you know, I am in no hurries. I don't have a debt or any emergency for $150K, well, except maybe the Tesla, so maybe the $50K...

Damn, so you didn't. Yesterday I was thinking of PMing you to sell, but you probably wouldn't have listened.

Just for the record, I correctly predicted the 2017 top. Well good luck with the holding, you may get a bounce to 35K....

Why don't you just hold you BTC on the celsius network (Your money is safer there than with most exchanges) and rotate from BTC to USDT when you feel BTC is getting ahead of itself?

I think I addressed all the finer points of why, but let me know if there's a specific aspect I did not cover.

I appreciate the concerns, Pekelo. We disagree on investment wrt bitcoin and cryptos, but at least we still try to help each other out.
