Bitcoin "Freefall"

The holders lost huge amounts. So betting with Bitcoin can make you fail too.

About the SOPR chart in the article:
The Bitcoin SOPR Indicator
The BTC Spent Output Profit Ratio (or SOPR in short) is an on-chain indicator that estimates whether investors are selling at a profit or a loss.

When the metric’s value is above one, it means coins that were moved during the period were sold, on an average, at a profit.

While SOPR values less than one imply the overall market has been selling at a loss during the particular timescale.

If the indicator starts trending up, it could mean holders are now realizing their profits and a correction could soon be coming.

On the other hand, a downwards trend implies sellers are moving their coins at a loss, and holders with profitable coins may be sitting on to them in hopes of further price appreciation.

i feel like this thread is missing the bigger picture. imho the big question is not will x coin hit xxxx target- it's, should a balanced portfolio include some % of crypto. a year ago i was adamant it's all tulips, and i feel like an idiot - it was right there the whole time and i didn't take the time to learn about it, but that's a tangent. Around July 2021, to remain open minded, I decided i should try to mint an NFT. For my education I invested $1000 and minted an NFT and my understanding and opinion of "crypto" forever changed. Seriously, $1000 = a masters class in crypto and blockchain if used wisely. i came to the conclusion that a 5% allocation split into BTC, ETH, and 8 new smart-chains is a smart decision.
I can see the value of block chain. Although where to invest is the question. All the blockchain stocks I have found are trending down. (I should add at this time.)

picking the ones that will survive is the challenge. i have around 10 looking at this a bit like the dot com boom. 6-8 will completely fail, but if 2-4 succeed the return should be 1000-fold. i don't see a better risk to reward at the moment. and almost all 10 of my investments pay between 5-15% yield for staking.

Shotgun strategy? Buy a bunch and count on at least one gaining more than you lose on the rest.

If you invest pennies, even if they do well over 100 times, it still is small money.
That's because pennies to you are just pennies. But when I say pennies, I mean under 10k. An amount I don't care about losing...

You sound like a macho, who for me is someone with below average intelligence, and who likes to get drunk every weekend. A few tattoo's and bodybuilding would complete the picture. Muscles should compensate for brain shortage.

Oh nice! You see me as a macho bodybuilding man, thanks. And who are you again? lol

this is the weekly chart for harmony one. it's my favourite. when gas fees on the ETH chain skyrocketed, ONE looked like a nice alternative. if you want to understand blockchain, buy some ONE, get on DeFi kingdoms, buy a piece of artwork on Da Vinci, buy a plot of land on Mars. Stake! Send a bit to MetaMask. it's an education.

and just like that an open mind changes the trajectory of their life - good for you!

Now it's at least in the realm of possibility to find a gem of a microcap that will do a 1000x.

I caught ONE on that first dominant leg, exited and haven't looked at it again. Defi Kingdoms is getting attention, thanks for bringing it up.

As we get inflation heating up and Fed gets very aggressive...introduction to digital USD will get pushed through very quickly. Not sure if Bitcoin will survive this event. But, if there are any offshore crypto centers to develop with any success (Estonia, Chile, Malta), there might be a bottom play, as many will try to escape the forced conversion to a digital currency. China may give us a hint as they are introducing theirs very soon. Once US moves to a full digital currency system, capital controls will be very similar to China.
