Bitcoin failed to deliver.

That rule about not losing money is a stupid rule, I don't care if Buffett said it. No one wants to lose money. Everyone has that rule, but they don't say it because, well, it's stupid to state the obvious
If everyone has that rule, they obviously are not following it or you wouldn't have such a high rate of traders failing to make a profit.

I think it's a good rule. I do my best to follow it. I don't hold anything in my portfolio that is underwater.

Where I differ from some other traders is that I believe that I have lost money if I hold an asset that is priced at less than I paid for it.

I know that some believe that you haven't lost until you sell. That's why you have traders with a fantastic win/loss ratio and a declining equity curve.

Personally my main metric for measuring my performance is my account balance. As long as my account balance is increasing I'm happy. So far in 2022 it has continued to increase.

How?

How? Seriously?

A very short non-exhaustive list (with likely inaccurate terminology/wording)...

Conversion (bank) restrictions/laws
Electric grid shutdown
Internet restrictions
Confiscation
Crypto exchange restrictions/laws

Of course, if you believe governments act in the best interests of it's citizens, then none of the above will make any sense. Meanwhile the entire crypto world relies on government, and secondarily, confidence in the underlying by the purchasers.

we transferred more than 1 mil to IB and it does not take a week. All available same day.
Wow. That's great to know. I never realized that you could transfer money to IB after 5PM and have it in your account by midnight. And even more impressive is that you have the ability to transfer $1Million to them on a Saturday and have it credited that same day. Same goes with Sunday. This is great news! I also never realized you could transfer any amount to them, whether it's $1 or $100Million on a national holiday and it appears in your account before the holiday is even over! And the fact that you can actually do all those transfers from your phone 24/7 without having to deal with a bank or middleman is just mind-blowing.

crypto so far did not solve a single issue,
Nope! Not a single one!

I agree with you, the increasing value of Bitcoin is due to the continued adoption and network growth

I gave a $ price target that I know BTC will never go to unless the network and adoption have completely collapsed, due to a Black Swan I cannot see or imagine today
Black Swan? I'm thinking more along the lines of Cooked Goose.

If you transfer crypto ANY time, its transferred to another CRYPTO account, so whats the point? To turn it into something useful and valuable, aka Fiat, you still need to deal with real institutions, aka banks, and not the collection of dweebs known as , well, Im not sure what they are know as, felons , maybe

Not after hours as wires can only be done during day. Nice sarcasm :D

One thing I learned in all my years of trading that if you need to send money for margin, you already lost. Risk was not adequately measured. We never transferred more than few millions so I do not know what happens if one tries to wire 10 or more to IB.
