Bitcoin Could Become Worthless, But Billionaire Thomas Peterffy Will Buy More on its Way Down

He probably holds the equivalent of the average piker who holds 1 or 2 coins. Probably not more than 5% of his net worth, I would not call that skin in the game.

the average piker holds 1 or 2 BTC ? I dont think so

A person only needs 1 or 2 BTC since the price will be $1M/BTC before 2030 and $10M/BTC before 2040

I am a user of IBKR, and was sad to see that Thomas retired as CEO while listening to one of the conference calls. I was there when IBKR first added crypto, but I have yet to purchase through them as the Toronto Stock exchange had plenty crypto ETFs to choose from already. So unless you are stuck in a backwards system like America, there really isn't too much a need for that sort of Paxos thing.

Nevertheless, Peterffy got where he is today by embracing tech and pushing innovative financial inventions. He also was right there when the crash of 87' happened and of course everyone was shouting "Down with the Yuppies! It's all over!"

Kinda like now how the bears are screaming it's over with crypto today.

Stupid is as stupid does...
"... chances are, I think, that this is not going to be a viable market"

If Peterffy is right, crypto will disappear.

How does a few Bitcoins ETFs in Canada negate the need for Paxos?

Absolutely...... Not....

I have 8 years and 18 years to be proven wrong

You were arguing with Frederick on another thread as if you've read "The Bitcoin Standard" and "The Price of Tomorrow by Jeff Booth (Canadian, btw)"... It confused the heck out of me, whatever, just mentioning it
