You should include the Maximum Drawdown per trade in you spreadsheet - gives a better picture of the monetary (and psychological) prerequisites needed to trade such a system.
In my opinion you should have stopped the system when Lehman filed for bankruptcy (preferably before that). No EOD system will catch up with such a string of events; you are demanding too much.
Wait till the markets calm and VIX comes down again.
Maybe switch to intraday?

The brackets () means it is a loss. I might be wrong, but I thought most people knew this. For example, a Net Profit of $10,000 means you have made $10,000. A Net Profit of ($10,000) means you have lost $10,000. If the way that I have posted the net profit is miss leading then I will change it.
Nobody can promise that you won't have draw downs, especially when there are so many 'outside shocks' influencing the market price movements. Also, don't forget that I am posting the system signals 'raw'. No stop losses or extra trading rules.
My trading partner is using data derived from the same set of systems that I am using. However, he is trading on the open, not the close. He has been doing very well lately. The systems were designed for trading MOC and I continue to post the signals for MOC.

I'd maintain the well understood (). To change now would be very confusing for someone who read the thread from the beginning of your posts and quickly scanned down to the end. You've been posting your results for about six months and everyone else reading the thread has had no problem with the () convention.
I'd also suggest that you attach an updated image similar to the one you had provided earlier. We could see the past (hypothetical) history of your system and its ups and downs for the additional six months. However, if you've changed any parameters such that past signals and the historical equity curve has changed I would not post it as you'll be accused of being a scammer or worse.

Will do. I've been working on making the parameter ranges for each trade bot as wide as is feasible. The idea being to improve the degree to which the individual systems can adapt to changing market conditions when used with flocking type particle swarm adaptation routines.
When I finish this I am going to concentrate solely on building a set of trend following models. I've got some good material lined up already so I am hoping it won't take too long. Mind you, I ended up working on the particle swarm adaptation library for about 6 months... much longer than I had anticipated.
I missed a post earlier suggesting that I might have considered stopping posting the signals when things started to get rough. I did consider it. The trend following systems will help.
