Binance hacked for over $40 mln, halts all withdrawals

Money laundering? lol

The newspaper's investigation shows how the bank - now owned by Wells Fargo - moved $378.4 billion from powerful drug cartels into currency exchange houses in Mexico. That's one-third of Mexico's annual GDP.

Despite the heavy financial penalty for HSBC following the scandal, eleven banks have incurred higher fines than them during the last decade. MarketWatch recently revealed that banks have been fined a total of $243 billion since the financial crisis with HSBC paying out $4.5 billion.

All this does not proof that Binance is not a money laundry machine.

you can tell your grandchildren how stupid people are.

Just wait until I introduce you to the idea of stable coin, where they admit from the beginning that it won't be redeemed ever. I bet they can come up with even more incredible financial engineering.

Wouldn't you trust something called Bitcoin Air (USDAP) ?

An hour after Binance, one of the biggest crypto currency exchanges, announced that it was hacked for over 40 million USD, the company is still not sure how extensive the breach is and whether hackers are not continuing to siphon coins out of its system.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao asked customers for forgiveness in a YouTube video, admitting that they still do not know the number of customers affected.

“We need to make sure that we eradicate any trace of the hackers in all of our accounts, in all of our data. That is a very tedious process,” Changpeng said.

If this was a major bank in China...CEO Changpeng Zhao would be sentence to death or his investors would hire someone to assassinate him. Luckily, he's educated in Canada and living in Canada.

Yet, still impressive for the once employed McDonald's employee to move from college to become one of the wealthest people in cryptocurrency.

Yup, like gold.

Yeah, Bitcoin is the new gold. I recall that spouting. I LOVE how it is working out for all the crypto-fags.

The most secure thing ever because blockchains are infallible. Meanwhile, Fort Knox has never been penetrated.

Binance reimbursed the stolen funds from it's safu account. 10% of all Binance's profits go to safu to help users recover lost funds. Hackers and market manipulation is all part of the game until crypto gets regulated (if they can regulate it)

And even wtih all this hacking Bitcoin is still reaching newer highs. It's like the energizer bunny that keeps going, you just can't stop it. And it will continue to rise until it eventually rallies. That's the way it's going to end...;

Let’s wait and see if suckers can be sucked into “rally” again.

That being said, insane with so many negative news it rallies.

Suckered is not the word I would use to describe a golden oppertunity...

End of 2017 many people were thinking:Suckered is not the word I would use to describe a golden oppertunity...

Most of them have now no money anymore to take the next "golden opportunity".
