Warren is in the process of giving 99 percent of his vast wealth to charity and that does not in any way go against his sincere belief that the wealthiest individuals and corporations do not pay enough taxes- Amazon 12.5 billion one year while paying zero taxes, for example.
Certainly Warren is already one of the largest charitable donors the world has ever seen.
There are common misconceptions that Warren favors raising taxes on the upper middle class and that he favors a wealth tax. Neither are true. No one claims Warren speaks for you or your CPA and I find it highly doubtful you are in the rarified income level Warren refers to.
Certainly there is something amiss that allows Amazon to declare 12.5 billion in a tax year while paying zero taxes. I hope no one thinks the tax breaks on this haul have "trickled down".
Regardless, Murray, thank you for your many contribute to our ET forums and for your reply.
