Billionaire Quant Trader Alex Gerko Named UK’s Biggest Taxpayer

Warren does believe, as does Bill Gates, that the wealthiest do not pay enough in taxes and he proposed his taxation remedy that is often referred to as The Buffett

However Warren is not in favor of a wealthy tax.

he is in favor of a 100percent tax on short term traders….. hmmmm ….
I wonder why.

I heard HFT with leverage is forbidden, so they trade without leverage, thus you need a lot of money to do this market making. Nothing easy to copy except you have tons of free money to compete with. And without leverage one cannot get rich from nothing. Those HFT funds make ca. 15% to 18% per annum. If you choose a HFT hedge fund as customer you might get 5% to 7% annually (only).

Warren is in the process of giving 99 percent of his vast wealth to charity and that does not in any way go against his sincere belief that the wealthiest individuals and corporations do not pay enough taxes- Amazon 12.5 billion one year while paying zero taxes, for example.

Certainly Warren is already one of the largest charitable donors the world has ever seen.

There are common misconceptions that Warren favors raising taxes on the upper middle class and that he favors a wealth tax. Neither are true. No one claims Warren speaks for you or your CPA and I find it highly doubtful you are in the rarified income level Warren refers to.

Certainly there is something amiss that allows Amazon to declare 12.5 billion in a taxe year while paying zero taxes. I hope no one thinks the tax breaks on this haul have "trickled down".

Regardless, Murray, thank you for your many contribute to our ET forums and for your reply.

Sometimes great minds think alike\ i thought AMZN should have paid a few bucks Tax, even though they nor thier CPA/tax lawyers consulted me\LOL:D:D
But i mean that literal/@ least few bucks\ since they use federal funded roads + airports;
maybe thats why AMZN seems stalled around $100or IBKR did them in an ad with $3,000stock price stock sliced down to $25 in a fractional share ad LOL.
Great thing about capitalism /AMZN doesnt have to consult Mr Buffet on taxes;
+ Dr Ben carson had to lecture US Sec of Treasury in older IBD, newspaper\ overpaying on federal taxes is not patriotic:caution::caution::caution::caution::caution::caution:,:caution::caution::caution:
