Okay, I misunderstood your statement. I would guess it all depends on the prison and the terms of his confinement. Anything less than 24/7 protection and total isolation he's a dead man, if not by a hired assassin, then by the other prisoners themselves. They do no take kindly to pedo's, at least that's the rumors.

Who the fuck was that judge? That's unbelievable in and upon itself. That fucker should have got 50 at least and put in gp at the nastiest state prison they had. What a f'd up judge. There's some things where serious incarceration is ok. I wouldn't say boo if they gave some 20 year old 10 years for murder if it was some drug induced fit of rage or something on a peer... but that cat.... honestly... burn him at the fuckin' stake. Yeah I understood what you meant with your post H4, and Tony is more than likely 100% right. I mean look at it, the guy started paying people off last November when that Miami newspaper first started digging. You can bet he's made a plan.

Whoever said this could turn out to be the biggest scandal in this country's history... could damn well be right. This story is not like the other bs we get every day and then forget about in a week with our national state of adhd... this one is not going away. This fucker isn't going down alone, and they better keep him alive too, because if anything happens to him... it'll put the Kennedy assassination conspiracies to shame.
 
Anyone, anywhere have any good legal healthy reasons why Cyrus Vance felt motivated, compelled to disgrace himself before the court and ask for a reduced sex offender classification for a bigtime child molester? Didn't think so.

Unlike the media, I dont immediately assume that every person who appears in Epstein's contact lists is involved in the perv stuff. Epstein functioned as a socialite schmoozer and financial hustler for decades and was running other schemes too- and those are probably illegal too. Not defending him on anything. Just saying that I doubt that his sex perversions are his only crimes. And I accept the fact that he was dealing with massive numbers of people who probably were not "island-oriented." I need to see more than just Henry Kissinger's - for example- name in Epstein's contact list to start linking him to child molestation. I can end out there, but I can't start out there. Ditto for dozens of others. I can work my way there over time with the facts.

However, in regard to Cyrus Vance- I can start out there. I dont know if he is linked on sexual stuff but Epstein has something on him or owes him money or is involved in something criminal with Epstein. His request in court on behalf of Epstein was insane. He has some kind of gun to his head. I could be wrong but his actions were so egregious that I am unwilling to give him the benefit of the doubt and I am unwilling to assume that he is not guilty of some illegal behavior until proven guilty. Which means that I am not qualified to sit as a juror on any case for him. That's fine. Works for him and works for me too.
 
I haven't looked at the news this weekend, I guess I could Google it, but has this guy secured a trial lawyer yet? I know he's got a lawyer who is trying to get bail, but it'll be interesting to see who represents him in front of a jury. I have a feeling Dershowitz is not going to be available, but odds are he might be there in the courtroom. It doesn't take much imagination to predict that this is going to make the OJ trial look like an episode of Judge Judy. Friggin Reed Hastings probably already has his people in there negotiating behind the scenes in an attempt to secure the movie rights for NFLX a few years down the road.

The court might not allow Dershowitz because Dershowitz is also accused in filings and could be called as a fact witness for or against Epstein. Ken Starr was also involved in his representation in the miami case but time passes and I dont know if he is deemed to be the right one this time around.

He seems to have a pile of attorneys running around trying to make this bond/bail package thing work. I have seen that Reid Weingarten and his firm are doing some of that work. He is a big name white collar crime defense attorney. He is qualified and experienced to do the trial piece too. I mean I dont think Epstein just picked some attorney with an office up over the bailbondsman's pawn shop to just take care of the bail piece. He takes his freedom seriously - unfortunately for him, I think he seriously is not going to have much.
