The change is too drastic and the presidency definitely plays a role. There's a high correlation between the presidency and the arrests.
Obama claimed 2 years after he left office that the economy was great because of him. That is an even more ridiculous claim, than a claim of a sitting president claimed after a good economy under his watch.

At this point, we would they bother going after Trump if his chances of getting reelected are almost nil according to reported polls? If Trump truly did have sex with underage girls, then take him out. It is likely there are plenty of Democratic politicians who are involved and they need to face justice. I wonder what the conviction statistics are in those special Democratic districts in CA and NY when party affiliation is considered? Didn’t some of Epstein’s crimes occur in Florida as well as New York? Will Epstein be facing state charges in Florida as well? If so, when? Can evidence be trusted to remain intact against non Republicans in NY prosecutor hands? Why is it on so many high profile cases Democrats end up in “judicial control” of them? It seems Epstein’s plea was a “little quick on the trigger” at this stage of the process. Or was this own thing carefully managed from the beginning to avoid having to deal with “other inputs”?
Does anyone else see the questions that arise when there appears to be conflicts of interest in a high profile case? We need a special prosecution team agreed upon and appointed by both political parties.
If Trump faces heat over this, whether he is involved or not, there will be likely backlash against those who are behind this, whether a deal is reached with Trump or not.
Whatever the case may be, AOC and other Freshmen Congressmen are looking better every day and our country’s outlook is looking worse each day.

Stupid lefty press thought that this epstein thing was just going to be another free shot at one of Trump's cabinet members and that they would rattle that cage just for fun. Now they dont want to go near the story or add momentum to it because it leads to Clintonville.
Oh, and no one other than Here4Richter and Rachel Maddow cares about Acosta or Mannafort or Cohen, etc. Let em go or hang em on the National Mall, just not something people outside the beltway care about.
