Billionaire launches get-out-the-vote effort against Bush

I would like a reference to where he said that about not paying regular income taxes, that he would have "10%" of his present wealth.

This should be clarified, as he has been a US citizen for 35 years and subject to income taxes, and has had the same tax obligations and use of legal tax shelters that are available to any American of any political stripe.

I don't see how his desire to remove Bush from office or his disagreement with current policy conducted by the Bush administration, or his willingness to fund opposition to Bush in 2004 is grounds for his exile. It is not anti-American, it is an example of Democracy in action.

That's a critique of Soros' book and there is no reference to his saying he pays little to no taxes, or that his wealth is 10x greater than it otherwise would have been.

Unless you can find a solid source for the statement you attributed to him, I will conclude that you invented it.

Even in his critique, Spath condemns Soros for hypocrisy for calling for greater banking regulation but never says Soros calls for a socialist order, which you must know, eliminates almost all private property. You seemed to have invented this charge as well.

Self serving hypocrite, probably. Socialist, no.
 
Screw Soros! I have always disliked this guy. I have also read quotes from Soros about not paying taxes in the U.S. and it really pissed me off. What a piece of shit these people are that slam the US after they have fully exploited the opportunities here. Soros is perfect for France, and that is where he can stay!
 
I am not here it rip France but the hypocrisy of Soros-- to tell the U.S. what to do with the tax system after he has apparently taken his taxable money offshore is really disgusting. Same goes for Buffet. Buffet has already been a little too self righteous, putting down short term investor/traders as if they contribute nothing and now wanting to stop me from getting a few bucks in the future. These guys need to be given a lecture about the reality of people who still need to work for a living. Between federal, state, ss/ medical, sales, property, gasoline, estate and the other taxes we get our asses taxed off.

Grant Noble in his books saids the peasants rebelled when kings tried to take more than 20%.
 
By the time they go through the process, it will be time for a new election anyway... waste of time and money... regardless of your political view.

He believes in the values of an open society?? He is circumventing the rules regarding campaign donations, basically, and working to override the will of the majority by stacking the deck his way.
