Bill Maher: This is why Trump will win again in 2020

The potential SCOTUS imbalance is the scariest of it all. It's to the point where you'd hope representatives would vote someone opposite their beliefs to preserve impartiality.

why? the court already does not represent the country.

If we were trying to represent the country... only 15 to 20 percent of the country identifies as liberal... so.

what we need is to put real constitutional scholars on the court not partisans.

In 6 of the last 7 presidential elections the democrat got the most votes

what I said was correct...

State legislatures are dominated by republicans.
if elections were a straight up popularity contests the primaries would be different and so would the outcomes..

your argument by poor analogy means nothing. Republicans don't even try to gather votes in the big leftist states. They could if they tried.

however, you slice, if you really want to go with a representation argument at the most 2 justices should be liberals... instead of 4.

But.. that is not the way it works nor should it. The court is already far to partisan. We know ahead of time how the 4 lefties will vote.

The justices should be unbiased scholars of the constitution who will administer justice fairly.

Yeah, the court already does not represent the country because most of the country vote democrat over republican.
