All I know is that it would go a long ways in convincing people that they're not all crazy if they put some skin in the game. Shouldn't hey be really pissed that this "small group" of extremists are bastardizing their religion? Pissed enough to do something about it? Isn’t it way past time that “moderate” Muslims in Middle East join the fight against radical Islam as well? Generalizations are much easier to make when the specific group being generalized acts in a generally indifferent way to being identified with the so-called fringe group that just happens to look like them. If they're different, then they can step up in mass and show us how different.
