Biggest losing day of the year today...

Hey... it's just part of the business...

Go out, have a beer, eat some good food, go home, rest and another day starts...

No big deal... Shit happens.
 
I had my worst day in a while too, -53 Ym points. I got all used to the chop and then the trend took me by suprise this AM. I swear I need to recognize these trend days early, and trade them like I know how.

Don't trade in this environment. Take a (forced)vacation. I personally decided that I will never trade the stockmarket between July 15 and August 15 unless dislocation, like last year or 1998.
 
If you were trading 5000-10000 shares, then you had a 80 cent losing day, thats to be expected occasionally and since you already have had plus one point days you should be very profitable in the long run, especially in light of the 18 out of 20 winning days, keep it up sounds like your doing great

... that, and a stiff gin martini or two!
 
I thought it was just me this month has been really bad except maybe at the open. I am getting chopped out left and right. Most of the money is being spent on commissions.
