For 1, if you mean "change in price", I would say the float.

Value Perception, if MSFT comes up with real AI, then nobody will want to sell below $100 say and the price will move straight to $100 on pretty much no volume, but the odd fool ofcourse.

Good patterns; earnings can help, that is why tech stock buyers in an uptrend pay up+ profit up.
I know WSJ hates hi PE, but @end of 2008/ bear ,DOW PE was 102[ source =IBD] Wonder if WSJ was calling that HI PE a sell/to exspensive LOL?? NO disrespect intended towards WSJ.
