Big tech job cuts, 70k jobs gone

The thread went from having 1 idiot to having 3.
Now, with me as the 4th, I think we should be square.

Let's get back on topic, children. Geez you must be fun to work with..

I pointed out that those tech jobs lost could be better transferred to the agricultural sector to produce more food and more goods to dampen the inflation a bit. I speculate these tech jobs cuts were fluffs that they hired during the pandemic and now that the pandemic is over and the demand for high tech. is less now that's why they are being cut. This might be especially true for those amazon jobs even though those jobs might not be all in the tech. sector. I noticed my amazon orders are being processed slower now. I dunno if that is a direct result of these job cuts.

You never hear when people are hired only when they are let go.

Yer golden for Patriots Day, since it is a local, man. Sorry about the Juneteenth thing though, that is messed up. That was just started last year, or year before? Time has gone funky,
It boggled my mind when I started trading that the market isn't open 24h/day. Literally open union hours!

Yeah I heard somewhere that Google laid off a large number of masseuses...

Elon Musk led the way (again) s
howing the great amount of excess labor is found in tech. Twitter still runs despite laying off 50% of the work force... It's pretty insane.
