I think he's under the same impression many of us are - that you got your job through your father-in-law (either his company or he's running it, etc) through marriage.
I have no idea if that is true or not, but it was said on this forum several times.

It appears the freedom to unionize is a no-no in the province of Tennessee. Could unionization spread to the other provinces of West Afghanistan or will America's Taliban find a way to repeal the right of workers to unionize?
Funny, I searched and searched through old posts and I couldn't find your similar rant when the NLRB (aka Big Govt) wouldn't let Boeing open their plant in South Carolina a few years back. (database is probably still messed up since the software upgrade - maybe that's why it can't be found?)
