Big Brother's Bogus Fabrications

>>another question might be: why is the assistant secretary of defense doing interviews to outline US diplomatic policy and recommend strategy to foreign states?<<

Now what is wrong with that Madison ? What is wrong with a dialog outlining one's point of view. You are making it sounds like an act of great stupidity, if not an act of treason, was committed.

The moment one comes out with such unreasonable attacks
people immediately start to discount and/or ignore everything else one may say (including any legitimate condemnations one may have).

I don't see the unreasonableness, nor the attack. in any case, go ahead and discount whatever you want.

the question is why is a defense department 'assistant' touring the world, making offensive diplomatic 'suggestions' in the global press, and outlining US foreign policy.

there are questions of competence and symbolism, along with the great amount of resentment the defense dept. has accrued to itself and the US over the past year. one has to assume that when the administration's planners launch provocative speeches, not only is the content fully planned, but that who is delivering the speech is just as important as what he says.

Quote from AAAintheBeltway:

Of all the winners and losers in the war, Turkey stands out as one of the biggest losers. Despite decades of diplomatic and military support from the US, Turkey backstabbed us the one time we needed something from them and compounded it by also trying to hold us up for ransom.

Because of their stupidity and treachery, they are quite likely to have an ugly Kurdish insurgency to deal with.

Turkey did everything we asked and more for us during the cold war, they wanted into NATO. When it came time to vote them in, the West did not do it. Why the US would expect them to cooperate ever, is beyond me. I would not want the job of asking them for help, I would feel like a two faced piece of s__t.
