BIDU - ipo day trading stories

Quote from PuffyGums:

The custom is to actually post a few times before promoting your site. But you managed to do it on your first post.

Ok wise guy, the assumers never succeeded in life. Face the fact.

Scalped BIDU this AM ----> In @ 99.00 Out @ 99.45

I feel lucky I was caucious as BIDU is plunging this PM (on very low vol) which is a bit suprising given the YHOO deal just announced; but GOOG is not seeing much buying demand either (see my GOOG post)

The best story I have heard so far is that someone on ET made $1/2M on BIDU.

Congratulations. Nice trade.

PS: Please don't ask me who it is

BIDU at 97.59. Ouch to those who bought up above 100...

Now, 93.10! doh!
Now, 93.10! doh!

Now, $80.34! Holy cow. hehe

This thread along with most others on ET is really sad. Goes to show the majority of 'traders' nowadays are hooked on this 'trading/gambling' mentality. Since most are losers, whenever some slot machine (hot ipo) kicks out a few bucks, the whole room goes YIPEEEE!!!
Then, it's back to boring crap and losing some more.

Meanwhile, the *real* money is being made in real estate or other types of longer-term trading, etc., while the trader schmucks waste their time and few $$$ left, gambling on 100 shares of bidu. Sad, very sad.
