Biden's Six Pillars - Addressing Covid in the U.S.

The problem is Biden cannot take the high road that GOP wants to kill children to defend the government taking over reaching action that might be unconstitutional or in violation of the APA...

It is purely political to says that GOP wants to kill children.

Imagine the GOP got up and said they are disappointed in the Dems being so cavalier with the sexual abuse and explotation of children at the border...

it is political gaslighting...

It is one thing to say Governors should be more proactive in their states to support measures to stop the spread of COVID. BUt to say those governors are children killers because they object to government excessive exercise of power is avoiding the legal debate on the subject...

I don’t know I think you’re exaggerating here. Biden didn’t say anyone wants to kill kids. His statement seems pretty toned down to me actually.

This is classic republicans can have a narrative that is totally offensive, off base and dumb but as soon as democrats stop being nice and patient with republicans we have to immediately turn to whataboutism and “both sides.” It’s totally bullshit and democrats need to get tougher with their rhetoric.

The truth is that many Republicans are cavalier with children’s health in this pandemic. And that’s putting it mildly. We forget it’s the kids with cancer and Down syndrome and other terrible diseases that die from Covid mostly. Republicans are teaching these kids you shouldn’t be inconvenienced for the weak and vulnerable kids. What kind of morality is that? Where are the values in that?

The rhetoric on republicans needs to get tougher. These right wing governors need to start leading not not kowtowing to their primary base that is only 30% of the people they are responsible for. They shouldn’t have run for office in the first place in they are not willing to lead.

1500 Americans are dying everyday right now from Covid. The lives being lost are indiscriminate of political bias. Biden needs to turn up the pressure not down.

And the lies just keep piling on, courtesy of extreme liberal doctor hacks everywhere. One day, these idiots would be out of jobs or contract a serious disease when karma hits them. These people are just pure evil. Just like our lying ET trolls.

The GOP is threatening to sue over Biden's 'unconstitutional' vaccine mandate, but legal experts say it will likely fail
https://www.businessinsider.com/gop-sue-white-house-vaccine-mandate-experts-say-will-fail-2021-9

That article headline made me interested in reading it.... then I did and it had no substance.... :(

"My anticipation would be, with the initial challenges, we're not going to see a suspension of this rule," Brian Dean Abramson, a leading expert on vaccine law, told Insider's Erin Snodgrass.

Wow..... hard to deal with such detailed thought out legal analysis haha......
Why even ask someone their legal opinion for an article but include no legal analysis at all on why you think that....

typical vapid shallow reporting

This article has a better legal analysis as to why the mandate could pass constitutional muster:

https://lawandcrime.com/high-profil...constitutional-vaccine-mandates-the-go-ahead/

However it will all come down to how OSHA promulgates the rule and what exceptions are allowed. Until OSHA comes out with the actual rule, we cannot really say to be honest what if any challenges to it will succeed.

The problem is the GOP just su ing over the rule because of political reasons is just bullshit. If the rule follows OSHA authority and has acceptable exceptions and procedures, the GOP challenge will have to be more intelligent than "Biden-man Bad!"

I think Biden's efforts are misdirected. Instead of issuing mandates that I doubt will survive judicial scrutiny and will cost him politically, he should be doing everything possible to make the vaccine safe for children. When COVID mutates into an infant killer, the redhats will be forced to do a 180 on vaccines once they see their offspring die gasping for air. Using force and edicts to get people out of a cult hardly ever works.
