As I said back when you and others were making repetitive posts snickering over the fact that Garland was being recycled - as some sort of get even with republicans routine- that many republicans had no problem with it compared to the alternatives. He was originally nominated by Obama as someone who was lefty but moderate enough to possibly be confirmed by the Senate. The fact that his nomination was not even voted upon does not change Merrick Garland's profile.

If there had never been that flap over Garland, he never would have even remotely been considered or named as AG in the rabid, skin-color based, squad, anti-jewish, anti- old white guy environment of now.

Whatever. And at the time there were many who were snickering over his appointment because it allegedly would tit him up for appointment to the next opening on the Court. Yeh, right. Bullshiite to that then, and bullshiite to that now. I mean I am okay with it but is insane to think that there is any support for him being on the court from the suicide-bomber wing of the dem party which is in control.

Biden's DOJ is also busily dropping or blocking various suits and actions against Trump while president by women alleged to have been assaulted by trump and for actions related Jan 6 and lawsuits asking for release of Barr material leading to the decision to not take action against Trump.

It is about getting a black lefty woman in his old job on DC court of appeals and then moving her up to court. This is not your fathers or mothers world. One year experience would be more than enough to move her up. We are talking about Ketanji Brown Jackson, already positioned.

And then move her up to the court as soon as there is an opening, and then move another black woman into her dc court of appeals position.

Rinse and repeat.
