Should Biden just step aside from running in 2024 and urge Newsom to take his place in Democratic primaries. It's a little late for Newsom to kick off the process of even being on a primary ballot in most states.
Harris taking Biden's place would be a disaster -- she has even lower ratings than most Congress members.
At this point Biden will be the Democratic candidate for President in 2024 unless old age takes him before election day.

This is not good when according to 2019 Usualname Biden needs a 50% approval rating to win and the republican can lose the popular vote by 5 million votes and still win.
Bidens path to a 50% approval is much harder than previous presidents because his disapproval rating is so unusually high at 59%
Im aware. Americans were beaten over the head the entire 2023 with doom and gloom economic narratives all the while the economy was repairing and building.
The outlook for 2024 is strong, so beware (lol).
Newsom, white male, cant jump the queue ahead of a colored women. Easiest attack ads for the GOP to play over and over. The democrats stand for equity for women and minorities but have replaced a minority women with a hetro White Man.
So if not Kamala, then Big Mike has to be parachuted in instead.
