Yeah the hospital just really has nothing better to do besides diagnosing people with Covid-19 and making them stay in the hospital for them to spend all those efforts in trying to save them. Doctors and nurses themselves are dying for saving people's lives from this covid s*** and this is what these conspiracy theorists come up with?? Seriously??

You really have to admire the intelligence and compassion level of those people who came up with these conspiracy theories. Some are beyond stupid; they are just downright heartless. If people really believe in this, the next time when they get sick with covid-19 after being tested not in a hospital but in a neighbourhood testing centre so the hospitals won't get a bonus payment, they should stay home and not go to a hospital so that way hospitals won't get those bonus payments. There.
You do realize this "Hospital Incentives" story (misinformation/disinformation) was first started by those in the Trump Administration when Trump was President...then repeated several times by him when he was campaigning for re-election as he continue to downplay the threat of Covid.
I guess they didn't like the results of the misinformation and have now tried it again now that Biden administration is distributing the Trump vaccines and approved free antiviral therapeutic drug treatments...

Like I said, if you believe this conspiracy theory shit, you are welcome to stay at home and not visit hospitals when you have covid. Since hospitals only receive these "treatment bounty" when they actually diagnose and treat covid cases, then not going to the hospital won't allow the hospitals to get these "bonus payments". There you go.
You said the payments aren't real. Maybe you had a problem with the word "bounty." It doesn't change my question as to why they would pay hospitals extra for procedures like intubations that are already covered by insurance.
Paying for initial testing of all patients upon admission is defensible, but the rest of the payments would seem to create malincentives.
