As Bill Barr said,thats bullshit.
Don't get so upset about protests in the Olympic Trials or the Olympic games. The United States has protested and then boycotted six Olympic games. Some of these protests occurred soon after the U.S. Olympic committee had punish athletes for doing the exact same thing. 
That's right...the United States Olympic Committee and/or a U.S. President has used their athletes to make a global political statement against any injustice that occurs in the world even if such did not occur against Americans. The hypocrisy is that U.S. embedded belief that the Olympic Games should never be affected by politics.
The most recent protests / boycott occurred at the 1988 Olympic Games and it infuriated the entire world about the United States using their athletes to send a political message to what was then known as the Soviet Union.
Fast forward...Race Imboden (U.S. Fencer) took a knee on the Podium at the 2019 Pan American Games and received a 12 probation...
Now go back to search the message history of messages @ Elitetrader.com about Race Imboden to see if his kneeling on the podium even made news here in the political section, Chit Chat section or the Sports section ?
The answer is NO and there wasn't anybody outrage nor was anyone asking for him to be shot in the head when he protested about Gun Control and Trump's policies...topics that should have pssst off all the Trump followers here at ET that are outrage when athletes use sports to protest especially when such was done on the podium while the U.S. anthem is playing.
Why no outrage here at Elitetrader.com ? We all know the answer to that.
I almost forgot the most important aspect of the 2021 Olympic Trials for all sports involved...
The USOPC agreed to allow protesting by the U.S. athletes back in March. They agreed that kneeling and clinched fists in the air was approved (allowed) at the start of their sporting event or on the podium when the National Anthem is playing if the athlete choose to do such.
The above agreement occurred because lawyers for the athletes pointed out the hypocrisy about protesting by Olympic athletes when they do it on their own versus the entire country using them to make a political statement against other countries about issues involving injustice.

In an open letter sent to Team USA athletes, USOPC CEO Sarah Hirshland said the organisation “values the voices of athletes and believes that their right to advocate for racial and social justice as a positive force for change aligns with the fundamental values of equality that define Team USA and the Olympic and Paralympic movements”.
The USOPC made it clear that the guidelines are only meant for the U.S. Olympic trials and not the Tokyo Olympics, which are scheduled to open on July 23.

You may have issues with his politics or which side he fought for but as a military tactician he was among the best of his time. He served with distinction in the US military many years before the Civil War.

That is a myth created by conservative white supremacist confederacy worshipers.He was reckless,made many miscalculations and got his ass handed to him every time he tried move into Union territory.His overall strategy of trying to fight a conventional war against the densely populated industrialized North was one of the worst strategies in military history.If The Union Army had been more aggressive they would have crushed his ass sooner and much worse.

I agree.
The Right tends to give their loyalty to people, rather than concepts/ideals/principles.
They latched onto Trump, "the man", so they are nearly pro everything Trump does, regardless how horrible it is; regardless whether if violates democratic principles, or The Constitution.
On the other hand, some of us (typically non-Right) can agree with some things (for example) Barr says/does; and disagree with others. We don't have to latch our lips onto another man's ass, and pretend that loyalty means 'agree with everything they say and do.'
