Biden hangs on through the primaries. Sometime in late spring/early summer he says he cant run because of the 'health' reasons. The primaries are over at that point so they dont have to worry about pesky voters. That gives the power brokers in the democrat party license to select whoever they want. Probably Gavin.

This allows them to eliminate a nasty primary and for them to have final say. Its really not that different then 2016 when the party rigged the vote for Hillary, or in 2020 when they rigged it for Biden.
