Haven't you heard? When gas prices come down, Joe is fully responsible for that. He even ordered his staff to show the graph at every press conference showing a downward tick for weeks. But the minute there is an upward tick, it is Putin's war, the Republicans, and the heartless war profiteering of the oil producers.

You are just reinforcing the narrative that politicians take responsibility for every item which makes them look good while blaming the other party for everything that looks bad. When it comes to global inflation there is very little party can do about it.

Really? Ironically, we are now watching the Europeans scramble in every possible way- going back to coal, firing up shuttered nuclear plants, etc- to reduce their energy costs.

We are not far behind.

In addition, our economy is suffering from availability of workers- a direct result of people still being fat and sassy and having buffered savings accounts from all they covid hand-out shit for both businesses and individuals. Subsidies that were needed at a certain level but not at the labor market damaging and work incentive destroying levels that were implemented.
