biden speech

The problem is the "far left" of today is merely the sensible left of yesterday so not being "far left" will cost him dearly

Indeed.Biden and his kind has made someone like me vote republican, even if its Trump.

He's also managed to piss off the block of voters any democrat needs to win the presidency. While blacks won't vote republican, they will have the lowest turnout in decades in 2024 if Biden is the nominee.

There is some truth in that. But he has to govern in the world we live in today. Change is more easily accepted and adopted in incremental steps.

For context, I consider myself a bit left of center, and nowhere near today's right.

I find Biden right of center so many of his actions don't align with mine. The right of today isn't even in any reasonable political discourse.

Pretty sure the worst democrat president ever will make a bunch of new promises when he has fulfilled virtually none of the ones he has already made.Fuck Joe Biden.Cant wait for 2025 for this clown to be out of office and the clear message sent to moderate democrats going forward that if we cant get a progressive president than let us all suffer under republican presidents.

I'm glad he hasn't passed most of his agenda. I'm concerned about the debt. I agree with some stuff like allowing Medicare to negotiate drugs prices. However, honestly, what can Biden do with a 50-50 Senate and multiple conservative Democrats? And yes, things could get much, much worse if another sociopathic narcissist like Trump is put into office. I'll take 8 years of do nothing over that.

I noticed this too and found it perplexing considering his pretty steady adherence to masks then I realized Biden talked about moving forward and living with covid, a test and a pill etc. So it took it as a symbolic statement by Biden - it’s time to move on. Where everyone else stands on that is up to them. That was my interpretation and that the chamber was filled with people who had negative tests.

We see what we want to see, which you can turn back on me, of course.

I find it more likely that he didn't wear a mask during the SoTU because he knows how well it plays to polling.

Science, Usualname? I see a PR firm. See last sentence.

Sounds like metaphorical self-immolation.

For the record I'm not a permanent republican,I'm just not voting for moderate democrats anymore.A candidate doesn't need to be as far left as Bernie or AOC but must be mostly leftist and with a history of being so.I'm not voting for a person who was center right thier entire career than turn progressive when running for the presidency(like Biden).

If the Dem party gets some sense they will get Biden to not run for re elwction. His overall approval ratings and ratings with blacks and progressives are telling them how it will turn out.

They better not put in Harris or Hillary eithier because me and millions of progressives aren't voting for them either.

Only Trump's were lower at this point.
You need to look at the drop after the first year
Where they started on day one has nothing to do with the job being done as president

Biden started at 56% now 39% = -17% worst ever by a President after one year
Trump started at 42% went to 38% = -4% after one year

The chart needs to be logarithmic....
